Lenovo Vibe P1: a mid-range Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone with 4000 mAh battery

A new smartphone Chinese manufacturer should soon appear on the market with the Vibe P1 just insight on the website of the Chinese certification body TENAA. And autonomy should be exemplary. Lenovo is very active at the moment. After presenting its first tablet ThinkPad 10 in May, it would indeed work on its future Vibe S1 but on a smartphone with 6.8-inch screen.

The Chinese manufacturer is also about to launch the Vibe P1, a new mid-range smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop. The latter has indeed being noticed in TENAA by GSMArena , which means that it should soon be formalized.

Its data sheet also disclosed. We learn that Lenovo Vibe P1 should have dimensions of 143 x 72 x 9.35 mm and weighs 148 grams (with battery). Its screen would measure about 5 inches diagonally and benefit from a HD resolution (720p). Inside, this smartphone is equipped with a quad-core 64-bit processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, accompanied by an Adreno 306 GPU and 2 GB RAM. For storage, 16 GB of internal memory provided, and a MicroSD slot that can accommodate a memory card of up to 64GB.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 also embarks an 8 megapixel sensor with autofocus, LED flash and the ability to shoot Full HD, while a 5-megapixel sensor would take place at the front of the unit. The main feature of this smartphone seems to be its battery, with a capacity of 4000 mAh. Generally, smartphones of this size have indeed a 2000 to 3000 mAh battery. Vibe P1 should therefore have a very comfortable autonomy, especially since its mid-range camera equipment should not be very demanding in terms of resources. Note that it also has a quick charge function that should allow it to charge in three hours.

Vibe P1 is not the first smartphone manufacturer to receive this battery since the P70 and A5000 are already equipped. The P70 also has a similar configuration to that of Vibe P1 for a range of up to 46 days standby. The future of Lenovo smartphone should have an equivalent autonomy. With this certification in TENAA, we expect that Lenovo formalizes the Vibe P1 in the coming weeks. However, it is impossible to say at what price it will be marketed. Let’s wait and watch.
